Caption Cues is designed to keep caption content and your preferences on your device.

What stays local

The extension reads caption tracks and visible caption text exposed by the page you are viewing. Processing happens in your browser. Caption text, saved words, rule choices, text size, and visual theme are not sent to Caption Cues or Sociobot.

License checks

If you buy or restore Supporter edition, the license token is stored locally under sb_license:caption-cues on this site and in extension storage when you paste it there. The token is sent to the Sociobot billing API only to verify whether it is active. Verification is cached for up to one day. Sociobot and Dodo, its merchant of record, process checkout details under their own policies.

Analytics and network access

This version includes no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party fonts, or runtime scripts. Apart from downloading the extension and optional license verification, the product makes no service requests.

Your control

Remove saved site data in your browser settings and extension data by uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage. For privacy questions, email privacy@sociobot.in.
